On 30 May, at the Sectoral Conference on Housing, Urban Planning and Land, the Draft Law on Administrative and Procedural Measures was presented in an attempt to strengthen legal certainty in the urban and land planning field. In particular, the draft deals with the issues that have caused most debate in recent years in the land planning sphere: the frequent declaration of invalidity of municipal General Urban Development Plans by Spanish courts. The broad scope of land planning matters means that the processes for approving General Urban Development Plans are generally long.
