Profile
Irene joined Pérez-Llorca in February 2019. Prior to joining the firm, Irene worked as an intern in the litigation and insolvency departments of both Spanish and international law firms. She is currently a member of the Public Law and Litigation practice area.
Studies:
- 2019 Master’s degree for Access to the Legal Profession, Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED)
- 2017 Joint Honours degree in Law and Business Administration, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid

Experience
Irene is a member of the Public Law and Litigation and European Union Law practice areas, having been part of the Brussels office for one year.
EU and Public Law
Irene advises Spanish and international clients on European Union and Public law.
Irene has particular expertise in European Union law, both in regulatory advice and in participating in direct appeals before the General Court and questions referred for preliminary rulings before the CJEU (Court of Justice of the European Union). Irene has advised on energy, public procurement with EU bodies, monitoring of regulatory proposals and state aid.
Civil and commercial litigation
Irene advises Spanish and international clients on civil and commercial litigation in both pre-litigation and litigation and has been involved in court proceedings at all levels.
In particular, Irene has experience in proceedings for damages arising from breaches of competition law and in proceedings concerning mortgage law, banking, breach of contract, consumer and transport law, among other matters.
Irene has extensive experience in the oral defence of clients’ interests before the courts and tribunals of Spain.
