Litigation

Guillermo has been involved in judicial proceedings at all levels, both civil and commercial, from the pre-litigation phase to the final enforcement of judgments.

Likewise, he has experience in judicial protection.

He has been involved in matters relating to the challenge of corporate resolutions, directors’ liability, share purchase agreements, opposition to exequatur requests, contracts for the purchase of future property, insurance contracts, contracts for the assignment of non-performing loans, construction contracts, execution of guarantees, distribution contracts, contracts for the assignment of software, gaming contracts, investment products and civil claims arising from breaches of competition law.

Guillermo also has experience in the administrative and contentious-administrative field in proceedings related to the gaming sector, energy and prevention of money laundering.

In addition, Guillermo has also been involved in proceedings before criminal courts, both in the pre-trial phase and after the commencement of oral proceedings in matters relating to property crime (fraud, punishable insolvency and asset seizure).

Arbitration

Guillermo has experience in arbitration proceedings, at both a national level – before the Spanish Court of Arbitration and the Madrid Court of Civil & Commercial Arbitration (CIMA) – and an international level – before the Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

These arbitrations have dealt with matters such as the execution of contracts for the sale of shares, the international sale of goods or claims for construction defects.

Academic and Publishing Collaborations

Guillermo is a professor of Legal Argumentation Techniques, written and oral, in the undergraduate and postgraduate Law programmes at the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria.
