Eduardo Arbizu joined Pérez-Llorca in 2020, as Of Counsel.

Experience
Eduardo has been practising law for over 30 years, is a State Advocate on leave of absence and has held positions of responsibility in major Spanish and international financial institutions. He has been Secretary General and Legal Counsel at Barclays España and Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Commercial Banking at Barclays in continental Europe, a period after which he joined BBVA, where he held different high-level positions within the bank’s legal department such as Head of Legal Services, Head of Legal Services, Tax Consulting, Audit & Compliance, Global Head of Legal & Compliance and Global Head of Regulation & Internal Control.
Academic and publishing collaborations
He is a lecturer on the Master’s Degree in Digital Law at the University of Navarra and on the “Specialisation in Corporate Governance and M&A Transactions” programme at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
