Pérez-Llorca has announced the appointment of Raúl Rubio as a new partner in the Intellectual Property and Technology practice. With 27 years of experience in different law firms and national and foreign companies, up until now he was the head of the Digital Law area of a Big Four in Spain.
Rubio specialises in providing legal advice in the fields of technology, digital transformation and services, audiovisual, advertising, intellectual property, media, privacy and image rights, information security and electronic communications, among others.
Internationally recognised, Chambers has ranked Raúl Rubio in Band 1 for the practice of ‘TMT: Information Technology’, Legal 500 features him as a Leading Individual in the areas of ‘Industry Focus: TMT’ and ‘Data Privacy and Data Protection’, and since 2013 he has been recognised by Best Lawyers® in ‘Broadcasting Law’, ‘Information Technology Law’ and ‘Media Law’.
Rubio combines his work as a lawyer with academic contributions, collaborating with the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE), where he lectures on the Intellectual and Industrial Property and New Technologies module as part of the Master’s degree for Access to the Legal Profession, and the IE Law School, where he is Director of the Cyber-compliance and Data Protection Programme.
