Artificial Intelligence: The interaction of artificial intelligence with the protection of personal data
A challenge for companies and for regulators
The first Artificial Intelligence Act and the text resulting from the trilogues
The future Artificial Intelligence Act has completed one more step in the ordinary legislative process that must be followed for its final adoption. While we await the final document that resulted from the trilogues, and in view of the fact that a version of it was leaked to the media, we are carrying out a thorough analysis of the text. As soon as the final text is published, we will provide you with a detailed summary of the most relevant changes compared to the initial proposal submitted by the Commission.
Today, we present the third instalment in our series of publications on Artificial Intelligence (AI). We look at how the interaction between AI and personal data protection is being addressed by European data protection regulators, and in particular, how the European Data Protection Board has assessed the future AI Act; we will also analyse how the future AI Act correlates with the current personal data protection rules.
