On June 15, 2022, the CRE published in the Official Gazette of the Federation certain Ruling identified with number A/015/2022 establishing the events that constitute a permit update (the “Provisions”).
According to CRE, the purpose of the Provisions is to simplify procedures and give legal certainty to individuals in this regard. The foregoing by restructuring the system and reassigning the areas in charge of resolving the applications.
Previously, the Administrative Units oversaw the analysis and evaluation of permit updates’ appropriateness, and the Commission’s Governing Body resolved such requests through a vote.
Currently, the Provisions reassigned the authority for the resolution of such procedures allowing a direct resolution of specific cases to the heads of Administrative Units and maintaining certain cases for the exclusive resolution of the Governing Body.
With the enactment of the Provisions, Ruling A/019/2021 published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on June 25, 2021, is now repealed.
