Christian Kaye joined Pérez-Llorca in 2024 as partner in charge of the Tax practice to strengthen the Mexican legal practice. Christian has more than 25 years’ experience advising multinationals, institutions and individuals on all areas of tax law.

He speaks Spanish and English.
Experience
He has extensive experience as a litigator, having handled highly significant matters, both in the Federal Court of Administrative Justice, as well as in all instances of the Federal Judiciary, both at a federal and local level in Mexico.
Throughout his career, he has been involved in advising both domestic and foreign clients on the design of tax structures, estate planning, mergers and acquisitions, as well as on the tax aspects of corporate restructurings to better comply with the current tax framework.
Prior to joining Christian founded and led a boutique firm in Mexico City carrying out all types of activities related to tax, constitutional and administrative law, both in litigation and consultancy.
Academic and publishing collaborations
Christian has been a professor of Tax Law at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and taught the Tax Procedural Law Module for the Tax Law Diploma course at the same institute.
He has collaborated on articles for the magazines “Puntos Finos” and “El mundo del Abogado”. He also wrote the “Tax Litigation Annual Review, Chapter Mexico” by Latin Lawyer (an annual overview of tax litigation in Mexico). He also co-authored the book “Nuevo Derecho Procesal Fiscal y Administrativo”.
