Álvaro joined Pérez-Llorca in 2018, having previously completed work experience at the firm as part of the Master’s degree for Access to the Legal Profession.
Before joining Pérez-Llorca, Álvaro worked in the Administrative law practice at a Spanish firm.

Experience
Álvaro is part of Pérez-Llorca’s Land Planning and Environment practice area provides legal advice to Spanish and international companies, investment funds, public administrations and land planning entities, with a focus on:
- Contentious-administrative and administrative litigation, with special emphasis on proceedings challenging planning and management instruments, administrative liability, regularisation of works and protection of urban and environmental legality.
- Collaboration and advice on land planning and environmental matters in all types of transactions and land development operations and implementation of real estate projects, with special emphasis on projects located in Andalusia and in coastal areas with high real estate demand (e.g. Costa del Sol), providing detailed advice in accordance with land planning and environmental regulations and territorial land planning instruments (e.g. Andalusia’s Territorial Urban Development Plan, natural resources management plans, etc.) existing in the territory.
- Advice on the processing and management of administrative, planning and environmental authorisations, permits, and licences for the implementation of urban developments and projects;
- Advice and participation in the drafting and processing of different land planning and environmental instruments (general plans, partial plans, special plans, re-plotting projects, land planning agreements, etc.).
- Collaboration and advice on land planning and environmental matters in all types of transactions and land development operations and implementation of real estate projects (e.g. residential, industrial, tourism, commercial, logistics etc.).
- Advising public administrations and land planning entities (e.g. compensation committees, town councils, urban conservation entities, land planning interest groups) in the land planning management and development of all types of land.
Academic and Publishing Collaborations
Álvaro is involved in a number of urban development programmes and institutions such as the Real Estate Business School.
He has also published articles such as:
- Los impactos de la nulidad de los Planes Hidrológicos. El Economista. Revista de Agua y Medio Ambiente.
- Álvaro is actively involved in writing reviews and articles in Pérez-Llorca’s land planning and environment department newsletter.
