Pamela is an associate and has extensive experience in constitutional litigation, international law and human rights. Throughout her career, she has worked in international organizations, government institutions, international development banks and civil societies in Mexico, the United States, Canada and Costa Rica.

Experience

In recent years, Pamela has specialized in constitutional and international litigation. In Mexico she has represented clients in constitutional trials (amparos) and before international organizations in administrative matters against constitutional and criminal reforms. Likewise, she was a lawyer at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights where she analyzed the possible international responsibility of States in cases related to due diligence for the prevention of environmental and community impacts in projects related to mining, energy and construction in Latin America. Pamela also collaborated as a consultant in the analysis of environmental, social and governance legal risks in contracts for the prevention of climate change and digital government between the Asian Development Bank and Tonga. Likewise, she assisted the Center for Human Rights and Global Justice in researching legal strategies and international standards for the prevention of corruption and the impact of anti-corruption measures on Latin American and Asia Pacific companies. Pamela has also advised the Mexican and Canadian governments on matters of public international law and comparative law in various projects on the adversarial criminal system and human rights.

Pamela is an advocate for gender equality and diversity. She is founder of Círculo Feminista, A.C. a Mexican civil organization whose main objective is the empowerment of women. In this role, Pamela has advised companies and governments on the drafting of Protocols to address gender discrimination and the creation of internal mechanisms to address discrimination.
