GC ALERT | New minimum wages in force in Mexico as of 2023

On December 7th, 2022, it was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation the resolution issued by the Council of Representatives of the National Minimum Wage Commission pursuant to which the Mexican government, the labor and business sectors agreed a 20% increase to both the minimum wage and the professional minimum wage, which will be in effect as of January 1st, 2023.

By virtue of the aforementioned resolution, the minimum daily wage in most of Mexico will increase from MXN $172.87 to $207.44, which represents a minimum monthly salary of MXP$6,223.20.
