Profile

Ivanna as an associate in 2023 and she is part of the energy and sustainability practice areas. She is currently focused on regulatory environmental law aspects and is responsible for managing applications (licenses and permits) before authorities such as SEMARNAT for clients belonging to the chemical industry to continue operating throughout the country. Ivanna also regularly conducts inspections at these facilities and carries out legal audits, addressing disputes related to inspections and fines imposed by COFEPRIS. In parallel, Ivanna’s energy work includes monitoring the verification of contractual actions carried out by clients and handling other administrative procedures before CRE – Mexico’s Energy Regulatory Commission.

Studies:

  • Law degree with Academic Excellence (J.D. equivalent), Universidad Anáhuac Querétaro, Querétaro

Her working languages are Spanish, English and French.

Experience

Prior to joining the firm, Ivanna was focused on numerous litigation matters involving complex civil, commercial, and family proceedings across Mexico. She played an integral role in dispute resolution matters, regularly representing plaintiffs and defendants and strongly defended her clients by challenging decisions and overseeing appeal and amparo proceedings. Among some of her representations there is Ivanna’s work on commercial lawsuits involving banking, real estate, insurance, technology, and agricultural matters.

Ivanna has cultivated outstanding communication and client relationship skills. She previously provided legal guidance on personal and sensitive issues including numerous civil related matters across Mexico and made significant contributions in creating corporate agreements.matters.
