Santiago joined Pérez-Llorca as a Partner in 2025. He has over 25 years of experience in Social Security Law, advising national and international companies on regulatory compliance, consultancy, and legal defense before the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) and the National Workers’ Housing Fund Institute (INFONAVIT). He has been involved in the implementation of pension systems in Mexico and is a frequent speaker at forums organized by various academic and business institutions.

Experience

Santiago has a strong background in legal advisory and litigation in Social Security matters, focusing on compliance strategies, audits, and legal defense before labor and tax authorities. He has worked closely with financial sector institutions and government entities in the development and implementation of regulations in pensions and social security.

Academic and Publishing collaborations

He has been a professor of Social Security Law at Universidad La Salle, Procedural Tax Law at Universidad Tecnológica de México, and has taught the Social Security module in the Public Accountant Certification Diploma at Universidad de las Américas in Puebla. He is also the author of various specialized articles and publications on the subject.
