Mexico Implements Unified Digital Portal for Water Concessions

On March 26, 2025, the Official Federal Gazette published the Agreement establishing the Unified Digital Portal for Water Procedures, an electronic system designed to expedite the concession and assignment of national surface and groundwater. Through this platform, CONAGUA aims to reduce response times, optimize processes, and improve accessibility to water resource management services. While the portal will initially handle only two specific procedures, it is expected to eventually integrate additional processes currently available through Buzón del Agua.
