Profile

Iván joined Pérez-Llorca in 1999, was named partner in 2007 and International Executive Partner in 2024. Ivan is responsible for shaping and directing the firm’s international strategy and operations. In 2015 he established Pérez-Llorca’s New York office and led it for five years. He continues to advise on complex transactions and matters, which he combines with his executives responsibilities. In 2002, Iván was seconded to the London office of Slaughter and May.

Experience

Ivan has more than 20 years’ experience and specialises in mergers and acquisitions of listed and unlisted companies. He advises both industrial groups and funds on large-scale, transnational transactions in various sectors, especially in Latin America, where he has advised clients from the region on some of the most important transactions in the Spanish market.

Academic and Publishing Collaborations

Iván has extensive teaching experience. He was an associate professor of Corporate Law at Universidad Carlos III in Madrid and at the Instituto de Empresa (IE).

Iván has also contributed to the 2020 and 2021 editions of the ‘Guide to Mergers and Acquisitions’ published by Latin Lawyer.
