Profile
Clara Jiménez joined Pérez-Llorca as a partner in September 2006. Clara has extensive experience in Public Administration and also in the private sector. She was Sub-Director of the General Sub-Direction of Legal Planning in the Department of Tax Inspections AEAT and Sub-Director of the Legal team of Bankinter, where she was head of the Tax Unit.
As an expert in Tax Law, Clara advises national and foreign clients on all types of tax law matters.

Experience
Clara advises national and international clients on all branches of Tax Law. Her extensive experience and knowledge in this field, both in the Administration and as head of a company’s tax department, allow her to offer her clients advice that is fundamentally of high technical quality, but also useful and practical, and always highly adapted to the client’s sector.
As an expert in her practice area, she provides advice on any action before the tax authorities, including inspection procedures of high technical complexity. Clara also regularly provides opinions or reports defining the tax classification of all kinds of financial and insurance products, establishes the most appropriate tax criteria for all kinds of operations and reviews and adapts all kinds of contracts, agreements, etc. to the applicable tax regime.
Her clients include major Spanish companies (Repsol, Telefónica, Grupo Villa Mir, Técnicas Reunidas), as well as others in the financial sector (Santander, BBVA), foundations, investment funds and family businesses.
Clara works with all of them on a regular basis, advising on key issues for their companies from the point of view of their tax strategy.
Academic and Publishing Collaborations
Clara regularly participates as a speaker in seminars and conferences as an expert in Tax Law and has written a wide variety of articles related to her area of expertise in specialist press publications. Clara is also the co-author of various books on Tax Law.
