Profile
Fernando de la Mata joined Pérez-Llorca in 2022 as a partner in the Litigation and Arbitration practice. Prior to this, Fernando worked in leading Spanish and international law firms.
Studies:

- 1992 Master’s Degree in Community Law, University of Liège (Belgium)
- 1991 Degree in Law, Universitat de Barcelona
He speaks Spanish, Catalan, English and French.
Experience
Fernando de la Mata has extensive experience in judicial proceedings in civil and commercial matters, including proceedings related to corporate, banking, fundamental rights, obligations and contracts arising from M&A transactions and joint ventures, and civil liability. Likewise, he has worked as an arbitrator and counsel in various arbitration proceedings.
Academic and publishing collaborations
Fernando is a member of the drafting team of the UNIDROIT Principles of Transnational Civil Procedure and is an associate professor of private international law at the ESADE Law School. He also lectures on the Master’s Degree in Law at the UPF.
