Francisco Paniagua joined Pérez-Llorca in 2019 after working for six years in the Civil Litigation, Insolvency and Arbitration practice of a prestigious Spanish firm. He is currently working as a senior associate in the Litigation and Arbitration practice.

Experience
Francisco is an expert in civil and commercial litigation. He advises national and international clients on the prevention and resolution of complex disputes, with a particular focus on contractual disputes (construction, energy, finance and banking, real estate, international trade), corporate and M&A disputes (disputes between partners, challenges to corporate agreements, directors’ liability and disputes arising from mergers and acquisitions) and civil liability.
He boasts ample experience in providing legal advice in all types of proceedings and instances in civil jurisdiction, including proceedings for injunctive relief and for the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards.
Francisco’s practice also focuses on national and international arbitration, where he regularly acts as counsel for the parties, although he has experience as secretary of an arbitral tribunal. He has been involved in institutional arbitrations administered by the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the Madrid International Arbitration Centre (CIAM), the Spanish Court of Arbitration (CEA), the Madrid Court of Arbitration (CAM) and the Civil and Commercial Court of Arbitration (CIMA), as well as in ad hoc arbitrations.
Academic and Publishing Collaborations
Francisco regularly collaborates with various publishers and publications specialising in commercial and investment litigation and arbitration and has contributed to several notable joint works.
Francisco is also regularly involved as a referee and evaluator in national and international arbitration competitions (Moot).
