Jorge Walser joined Pérez-Llorca in April 2020. Before joining the firm, he worked for seven years as a lawyer at prestigious criminal law firms. During his professional career, he also held the position of Instructor of the Deontology Commission at the Valencia Bar Association.
Studies
He speaks English, French, Italian and Spanish.
Experience
Jorge is highly experienced in all stages of setting up crime prevention programmes and designing internal crime prevention policies and protocols. He has worked with clients across a wide range of industries and has experience of working with international groups developing and overseeing crime prevention projects on a global scale.
He has also handled the legal defence of individuals and companies in all phases of criminal proceedings relating to white collar crimes such as fraud, misappropriation, corporate offences, money laundering, subsidy fraud, and corruption offences (bribery, influence peddling, embezzlement, etc.).
Academic and Publishing Collaborations
Jorge has taught as a guest lecturer for the “Integrated Practices” course as part of the Law degree at the Universidad Cardenal Herrera-CEU.
He regularly publishes articles on issues related to criminal law and criminal compliance in national publications (such as La Ley or Expansión).
He has also contributed to the selection of criminal case-law articles for the legal journal of the Region of Valencia, published by Tirant lo Blanch. He has also worked as a specialist criminal lawyer for the online legal consultancy of the legal database of said publisher.
