Julio Lujambio joined Pérez-Llorca in 2005 and made partner in 2014.

Julio has been a member of Pérez-Llorca’s Management Board since 2020 and has been an Executive Partner since 2024.

As Executive Partner, Julio supports the development of Pérez-Llorca’s strategy and direction.

Julio is a dual-qualified lawyer, authorised to advise on both Spanish and Mexican law.

  • 2003 LLM, with specialisation in Business Law, IE Law School (Madrid)

Experience

Julio is an expert in Corporate/M&A and Capital Markets.

Julio has experience advising on all types of M&A transactions regarding acquisitions of shares and assets of private and listed companies, subscription agreements for investments and shareholders agreement and the setting up of joint ventures.

Juilo’s experience in capital markets includes advising on the admission to trading shares on the Spanish stock exchanges, public offerings or security underwritings, block trade and other advice related to listed companies in relation to regulatory issues regarding the stock exchanges and corporate governance.

Among many other matters, Julio advised AENA on its admission to trading, Blackstone on the takeover bid and acquisition of Testa, and CVC on the acquisition of a significant stake in Naturgy, L1 on the takeover bid for DIA, A&M Capital Europe on the acquisition of a majority stake in Ayesa and the subsequent acquisition of Ibermática, Volotea and its shareholders on its international growth and financing, and Antin on the takeover bid for Opdenergy.
