María joined Pérez-Llorca in 2022, having previously completed work experience at the firm as part of the Master’s degree for Access to the Legal Profession. Prior to this, Maria advised on international law at a foreign boutique and an international organisation, and completed an internship at two renowned international law firms in the area of litigation and arbitration.
Studies:
She speaks Spanish, English and French.
Experience
María is currently working in the Litigation and Arbitration practice. She has experience in civil and commercial litigation, both before the ordinary courts and before domestic and international arbitration tribunals. She provides advice on a range of pre-litigious and dispute-related matters, including claims for damages for competition law infringements and unfair competition, as well as commercial contracts and corporate disputes. She has also participated in proceedings for the annulment, recognition and enforcement of foreign awards and judgments.
Academic and publishing collaborations
María collaborates with the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid as a trainer for the team participating in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
