Profile
Pedro Marques da Gama Castro Pereira joined Pérez-Llorca in 2006, after four and a half years of practising as a lawyer in Portugal, where he was involved mainly in corporate matters, providing legal advice to clients from Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom.
He was made partner at Pérez-Llorca in January 2018.

He speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese.
Experience
Pedro specialises in Commercial and Corporate Law, and particularly in mergers and acquisitions for private, national and international companies across a wide range of sectors. In this area, Pedro has also advised on various M&A transactions with private equity funds and hedge funds.
Pedro’s practice involves actively advising on distressed transactions, in particular the sale and purchase of credit portfolios, acquisitions of production units in the context of pre-insolvency or insolvency proceedings, and reorganisations and restructurings of companies in special situations.
Academic and Publishing Collaborations
He also works with the most prestigious universities in Spain.
Currently, Pedro is a lecturer at Instituto de Empresa where he teaches on the “Corporate Finance: Legal Aspects” course for the Executive LL.M. (IE-Northwestern University). He also lectures on the Expert Diploma in Corporate Governance and M&A Transactions at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
Pedro taught on the Commercial Law courses in postgraduate programmes at the Universidad Carlos III.
