Profile
Raúl Rubio joined Pérez-Llorca in 2023 and boasts 27 years of experience in different law firms and national and foreign companies. Prior to joining the firm he was the head of the Digital Law area of a Big Four in Spain.
Studies:
- 1995 Degree in Law, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
He speaks Spanish and English.
Experience
He specialises in providing legal advice in the fields of technology, digital transformation and services, audiovisual, advertising, intellectual property, media, privacy and image rights, information security and electronic communications, among others.
Raul is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), is Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) by ISACA and is accredited by IAPP as a Certified Information Privacy Professional for Europe (CIPP/E).
He is also a member of the Asociación Profesional Española de Privacidad (Spanish Professional Privacy Association) (APEP), the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and the Asociación Española de Derecho del Entretenimiento (Spanish Entertainment Law Association) (DENAE).
Academic and publishing collaborations
Raúl is a professor at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas and the Instituto de Empresa, among other universities and business schools. He is also director of the Cybercompliance and Data Protection Programme at the Instituto de Empresa. He lectures at many institutions and business schools.
He co-authored the following books:

He is also the author of several legal articles related to intellectual property, audiovisual law and new technologies.
