Virginia Grande joined Pérez-Llorca in 1995 as a lawyer in the Litigation and Arbitration practice, where she remained until 2003. From 2004-2014, she worked as a lawyer in the Portuguese law firm Coelho Ribeiro e Associados, where she became a partner in 2005, working in the Lisbon office of the firm until 2010, and founding the Madrid office of the firm in 2011. In 2014, she rejoined Pérez-Llorca to lead the firm’s in-house legal department and provide support to its Senior Partner. During her time in Lisbon, she also contributed to the creation of the Portuguese Chapter of the Spanish Arbitration Club (“CEA”), and acted as its Secretary.

She speaks Spanish, Portuguese, and some English.

When Virginia first joined Pérez-Llorca, she advised on arbitration and numerous contentious-administrative, civil and commercial disputes concerning energy, engineering, construction, sales and purchases, real estate, banking litigation, directors’ liability, challenges to corporate agreements, breaches of contract, town planning, debt recovery, recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments, etc.
Commercial
During her time at the Portuguese law firm, she advised on Spanish and Portuguese commercial and corporate law in the context of different transactions, for various clients, especially Spanish companies with a presence or interests in Portugal, or Portuguese companies with a presence or interests in Spain.
In-house Legal Counsel
As part of Pérez-Llorca’s in-house legal team, Virginia advises the firm on a wide range of areas, such as contracting, insurance, banking, commercial, regulatory and recovery, and also carries out various compliance tasks, relating to matters such as the prevention of money laundering and the financing of terrorism, data protection, criminal risk prevention, etc.
