On this occasion, María Luz Lorenzo, Litigation and Arbitration Counsel at Pérez-Llorca and one of the coordinators of the book, will explain the practical value of the Regulation for the legal profession.
After María Luz’s talk, Federico F. Garau Sobrino, another of the book’s coordinators and a lecturer of International Private Law at Universidad de las Islas Baleares, will take to the floor to elaborate on the inclusion in contracts of express clauses that determine the jurisdiction of the competent courts and establish the parties’ submission to said courts.
The session will end with a contribution from Ana Ribó, partner of the Litigation and Arbitration practice area of Pérez-Llorca, who will discuss the competent courts in contractual disputes in the absence of said submission clauses.
The session will take place from 9:00am to 10:15am on 19 May at the auditorium of Pérez-Llorca’s Barcelona office, located on Diagonal 640.
