On 5 July 2023, the Official State Gazette published Royal Decree 571/2023, of 4 July, on foreign investments (“RD 571/2023“), which, among other matters, implements the provisions governing the suspension of the liberalisation regime for foreign direct investments (FDI) in Spain provided for in Law 19/2003, of 4 July, on the legal regime of capital movements and economic transactions abroad and on certain measures to prevent money laundering (“Law 19/2003“).
