On 29 September 2022, the Government presented its Tax Measures plan, with the aim of ensuring “social justice and economic efficiency”. The plan presented by the Minister of Finance and Civil Service aims to move towards a “fairer” tax system with an increase in contributions by high net worth individuals and large companies. This proposal is expected to be included in the 2023 General State Budget Act or in other legislation that will permit its implementation in the coming year.
