Elena Veleiro, Counsel of the Litigation, Public and Regulatory practice has been recognised by the publication Iberian Lawyer in the latest edition of their ‘40 under Forty’ awards.
These awards highlight Veleiro as one of the forty best lawyers in the Iberian peninsula under the age of forty this year.
Elena Veleiro joined Pérez-Llorca in 2014. At 27 years old, Elena was admitted to the State Advocate’s Office, having achieved the highest grade of all the candidates in the examinations. She firstly worked as a State Advocate in Leon and then worked for the Madrid Administrative law courts. Subsequently, from December 2010 until May 2013, Elena worked at the Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Madrid and was the coordinator of the State Advocate’s Office’s Legal Assistance agreement with the public entity “Administrador de Infraestructuras Ferroviarias (ADIF)” (The Public Administrator of Railway Infrastructures). In May 2013 she joined this entity as General Counsel.
Veleiro joins the following lawyers from Pérez-Llorca who have won in previous editions: Pedro Pérez-Llorca, Senior Partner of the firm, who was also awarded ‘Best Lawyer at a Law Firm’ in 2007; Adriana de Buerba, partner of the White Collar Crime practice area; Guillermina Ester and Félix J. Montero, partners of the Litigation and Arbitration practice area; as well as Corporate partners Javier Carvajal, Carmen Reyna, Iván Delgado, Julio Lujambio, Pablo González Mosqueira and Alejandro Osma, the latter being awarded one of three special prizes, the ‘Outstanding Achievement Award’ in 2013.
