  • This is Pérez-Llorca’s third office abroad, after London and New York

Pérez-Llorca has opened its new international office in Brussels with the aim of being closer to the European institutions and courts. At the end of last year the firm announced its intention to expand its physical presence abroad with this new office, alongside the appointment of Sonsoles Centeno as a partner to manage it.

A large part of Pérez-Llorca’s work revolves around advising large Spanish companies with interests marked by the regulatory activity of the European institutions. In addition, the firm is highly active in litigation before the Court of Justice of the European Union, in proceedings before the European Commission, and in matters in which European law plays an essential role. Having a permanent base in Brussels will facilitate closer ties between the firm, its clients and these institutions.

The office is headed by Sonsoles Centeno, an expert partner in European Union and competition law and a State Advocate on leave of absence with more than 18 years of experience in different positions in the public administration. Working alongside Centeno will be a team of three lawyers with expertise in competition and regulatory law.

International Strategy

This is the third office that Pérez-Llorca has opened abroad, continuing its growth and internationalisation strategy that began in 2015 with the opening of its offices in London and New York.

Situated in the European Quarter of Brussels, this location has been chosen due to its proximity to clients and the institutions the professionals based there will be working with. In pursuit of this goal, the firm moved its London office from the City of London to Mayfair just over a year ago in order to be closer to the large international funds which make up a large part of its client base.
