The new Pérez-Llorca partner has more than 25 years’ experience advising multinationals, institutions and individuals on all areas of tax law. Specialising in tax and administrative proceedings and litigation, he has extensive experience in designing and implementing defence strategies before federal and local tax and administrative authorities in Mexico, as well as in estate planning for individuals and companies, and tax advice on mergers and acquisitions and corporate restructurings.
Kaye has been recognised by Who’s Who Legal as one of the best lawyers in Mexico in the Corporate Tax and Administrative Litigation practices. This appointment is a further step in Pérez-Llorca’s commitment to the Mexican market following the recent integration with the country’s elite firm, González Calvillo. As stated by Pérez-Llorca’s International Executive Partner Iván Delgado, “at Pérez-Llorca, our ambition is to create the leading legal practice in Mexico to assist clients with their most important transactions and disputes on both sides of the Atlantic. The addition of Christian Kaye along with a group of lawyers is a further demonstration of the firm’s commitment to providing global advice on all major areas of law through multinational teams”.
Rodrigo Rojas, partner in Pérez-Llorca’s Mexico City office, added that “Christian’s versatility, comprehensive tax profile and vast experience will enhance our clients’ tax advice and complement the work of Pérez-Llorca Mexico’s other practice areas when making referrals on tax matters”.
