Pérez-Llorca has increased its sales fivefold over the past decade

  • Internationalisation, the reorganisation of its corporate governance and its commitment to innovation and digitalisation marked the past financial year

Pérez-Llorca achieved overall pro forma revenue of more than €165 million in 2024, an increase of 33% compared to the previous year, when its turnover stood at €124 million. This pro forma revenue includes sales for the full year 2024 in Spain, as well as in Portugal and Mexico, new markets for the firm.

In Spain the sales figures exceeded €133.6 million, an increase of around 8% compared to 2023. International business accounted for 20% of the firm’s total turnover in 2024.

With these figures, pending completion of the audit, Pérez-Llorca has once again achieved record revenue and continues on its path of sustained growth.

In the last decade (2015-2024), Pérez-Llorca has increased its sales fivefold, which represents growth of approximately €133 million in these ten years.

In the words of Pedro Pérez-Llorca, the firm’s Senior Partner: “For Pérez-Llorca, 2024 has been a key year in the firm’s history, marked by a steady advance in our international expansion and a significant investment in innovation and technology. This growth not only strengthens our market position, but also prepares us to face new challenges in an increasingly dynamic legal, social and geopolitical landscape. In 2025, we will continue to promote the firm’s international growth, relying on the best talent to provide the best service to our clients with the best technological tools.

International strategy

The firm’s vocation is to offer its clients the best alternatives to cover their legal needs, as well as to provide its professionals with the most ambitious career opportunities. These have been the driving forces that have led Pérez-Llorca to strengthen its internationalisation strategy. In 2024, 20% of its sales came from international business.

Following the opening of the Portugal office at the end of 2023, which already employs around 45 professionals, in July last year Pérez-Llorca completed the integration of the Mexican firm González Calvillo. The strong cultural ties between Mexico and Spain, as well as the high degree of integration between their business communities, mean that Mexico is a natural market for the firm to continue to grow and develop.

The goal of this integration was to establish a leading legal practice in Mexico, specialising in large transactions, financings, transnational litigation and regulatory matters, offering comprehensive services to multinationals and financial sponsors on both sides of the Atlantic, as well as to other international law firms.

Following the completion of these two major milestones in Portugal and Mexico, Pérez-Llorca offers advice on Spanish, Portuguese, European and Mexican law from its offices in Barcelona, Brussels, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Mexico City, Monterrey, New York and Singapore.

New corporate governance

In 2024, the firm took a further step in its constant evolution and adaptation to the market and modified its governing bodies to make them representative of its new circumstances.

At the beginning of the year, the firm expanded its management structure and named Julio Lujambio as Executive Partner and Iván Delgado as International Executive Partner. Alongside Pedro Pérez-Llorca, who remains Senior Partner, and Constanza Vergara, Partner and COO of the firm, Pérez-Llorca prepared and provided the necessary support for the firm’s growth and expansion.

In addition, over the past year, the firm appointed an international partnership board. This body has 30 members, all of whom are partners, and includes representatives from Spain, Portugal and Mexico, ensuring the representation of territories, practices, generations and genders. Its duties include driving the firm’s growth, ensuring service quality and commitment, preserving the firm’s culture and nurturing talent, among others.

Innovation and leadership

Pérez-Llorca’s commitment to innovation and digital transformation reached another milestone last year, positioning itself as the first Spanish law firm to integrate a second-generation generative artificial intelligence tool for the legal sector, Legora (formerly known as Leya). This technological advance represents the latest step in ensuring the highest quality in the advice that the firm offers its clients.

The quality of the advice and performance of the professionals who make up the firm led to Pérez-Llorca being recognised in 2024 as ‘Spain Law Firm of the Year’ at the Chambers Europe Awards 2024, an award given by the prestigious international legal directory Chambers and Partners. This is the third time that the firm has won this accolade, after being named best law firm in Spain in 2017 and 2006, while in 2015 it received the ‘Spain Client Service’ award.
