Pérez-Llorca, the AJPS and the Red Cross Youth join forces to launch the ‘Insure a Smile’ charity campaign

The campaign starts on 15 November and aims to help ensure that no child goes without a toy this festive season

Pérez-Llorca and the Association of Young Insurance Professionals (AJPS), in collaboration with the Red Cross Youth, have launched the first edition of the ‘Insure a Smile’ campaign, which starts on 15 November and aims to help ensure that no child goes without a toy this festive season.

The initiative is primarily aimed at insurers, reinsurers and companies related to the insurance sector, although anyone who wishes to participate is invited to do so. Those interested in taking part can make a donation by sending toys to the Pérez-Llorca offices located at Paseo de la Castellana 50, or by going to the campaign’s official website and making a financial contribution that Red Cross Youth will also use for this purpose. “At Pérez-Llorca, we would like to encourage all professionals in the insurance sector to collaborate with us in this wonderful initiative, which will allow us to spread hope and happiness among the little ones during this special time of the year,” stated Rafael Fernández, Counsel of the firm’s Insurance and Reinsurance practice area and member of the AJPS’ Board of Directors.

The project goes much further than simply donating toys. The campaign also seeks to provide families with tools to educate them about values and healthy play during the most important time for a person’s all-round development: childhood and youth. “This is a very special initiative for AJPS, as it allows us to carry out an activity where our members, alongside Pérez-Llorca and the Red Cross, can contribute to the development and education of children in the most disadvantaged situations,” said Laura Camps, Marketing Manager of Markel Spain and Head of Marketing and Communication of the AJPS.

The Red Cross Youth toy campaign was created in 1992 to provide toys to children and adolescents in vulnerable situations. Isabel Jiménez, CSR Director at Pérez-Llorca, highlighted the firm’s commitment to and solidarity with social initiatives: “At Pérez-Llorca we are proud to do our bit, hand in hand with the AJPS, to support the commendable work that the Red Cross has been doing for years to help thousands of families”.
