Pérez-Llorca names five new partners

Pérez-Llorca has today announced the appointment of five new partners: Fernando Bedoya, Beatriz García, Javier Gómez, Pedro Marques da Gama and José Suárez. With these new additions to the partnership, the firm has increased its total number of partners to 38.

Fernando Bedoya joined Pérez-Llorca in 2009. He received his degree in Law and Business Administration from ICADE. He specialises in civil litigation and arbitration and has extensive experience with complex cases both at a national and an international level. Bedoya is co-author of the Arbitration Code published by Aranzadi. He has also been listed by the legal directory Best Lawyers® in the practice of Litigation in Madrid and has been recognised by Who’s Who Legal Arbitration as a ‘Future Leader’. He also lectures for the Master’s degree for Access to the Legal Profession at ICADE and at Universidad de Navarra.

Beatriz García has worked at Pérez-Llorca since 2009. She graduated with a degree in Law from Universidad San Pablo-CEU and a degree in English from Universidad de Santiago de Compostela. She specialises in Litigation and Public Law. She is an expert in defending clients before the civil courts, the administrative courts and in proceedings before the Court of Justice of the European Union. García was one of the authors of the books ‘Medidas cautelares y Ejecución de Sentencias frente a las Administraciones Públicas’ and ‘Modificaciones de la legislación de contratos de las Administraciones públicas’. She also lectures for the Master’s degree for Access to the Legal Profession at Universidad de Navarra. In 2017, she was recognised by the legal directory Chambers Europe as an Associate to Watch in Public Law.

Javier Gómez joined Pérez-Llorca in 2009. He has a degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Carlos III and also completed a Master’s degree in International Business Administration (ICEX) at the Centre of Studies for Economy and Trade (CECO). He is an expert in corporate law, and has been involved in various M&A transactions both nationally and internationally, as well as in numerous capital markets transactions and listings on the stock market. In addition, Gómez is a lecturer on the Master in Business Legal Advice at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and the Master’s degree for Access to the Legal Profession at ICADE.

Pedro Marques da Gama has worked at Pérez-Llorca since 2006. He studied a degree in Law at Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa. He is an expert in corporate law, and completed postgraduate studies in “Corporate Law” at the Instituto Superior de Gestão in 2003 and the Master of International Legal Practice at the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid in 2006. Marques da Gama specialises in transactional matters, and in particular mergers and acquisitions and cross-border transactions across different industries. He also advises on the acquisition of distressed assets, especially secured and unsecured bad loans, and company reorganisations and restructurings. Pedro Marqués da Gama is listed by the legal directory Best Lawyers® for Banking and Finance Law.

José Suárez joined Pérez-Llorca in 2007. He holds a degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Comillas ICADE. He specialises in proceedings before the Tax Authorities, as well as municipal taxation and the indirect taxation of real estate transactions. He also has extensive knowledge of accounting. Since 2015, Suárez has been recognised by the legal directory Chambers as an Associate to Watch in their High Net Worth guide in the practice of Private Wealth Law.

According to Pedro Pérez-Llorca, Senior Partner of the firm, these appointments “accomplish a twofold objective.
