Rodríguez Cárcamo, ILO Client Choice award for Public Law

17/02/2016

Madrid, 17 February. Juan Rodríguez Cárcamo was awarded the 2016 ILO Client Choice award in the category of Public Law in Spain. In addition to Rodríguez Cárcamo, five other lawyers were awarded in this category, from law firms in Brazil, Colombia, Ireland, Portugal and Puerto Rico. This year, ILO Client Choice nominated 383 lawyers in 68 jurisdictions across the world.

Juan Manuel joined Pérez-Llorca as Counsel in May 2011. In 2001 he began his professional career as a State Advocate at the High Court of Justice of Madrid, subsequently acting as State Advocate for the Ministry of Home Affairs. He was also a lawyer for the Directorate General of Security, Disarmament and International Terrorism Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Before joining Pérez-Llorca, Juan served from 2004 as a State Advocate for the Court of Justice of the European Union, and from 2009 as a lawyer for the Public Defender’s Office at the CMT (Telecommunications Market Commission), CNC (Spanish Commission for Competition), CNMV (Spanish Securities Market Commission), CNE (Spanish Commission for Energy) and CSN (Nuclear Security Council) regarding European Union Law. Rodríguez Cárcamo made partner at the firm in 2013.

Both ILO’s readers and in-house counsels can vote for lawyers to become finalists in different categories, and they can support the lawyers’ nominations with references. This particular award only recognises lawyers working in legal firms; however ILO has two other awards for in-house counsels.
