Pérez-Llorca has announced today that two new partners are joining the firm’s Corporate and Tax teams. This will increase the number of partners at the firm to 48.
José Azqueta specialises in M&A taxation and brings his expertise in these types of transactions. He has more than 17 years of experience, and has advised large international funds, major corporations and multinational companies on their transactions in Spain. He is an expert in SOCIMIs (Spanish REITs), and his work has focused on providing tax advice on investment processes in Spain, SPAs, due diligences, and tax modelling. José also has significant experience in real estate and renewable energy transactions. He holds a degree in Law from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas ICADE and a master’s degree in Law from IE. Azqueta has developed his career at various Big Four companies, and was a partner at one such company prior to joining Pérez-Llorca. His work has been recognised by the legal directory Best Lawyers® in the area of ‘Tax Law’ in Madrid.
Dídac joins Pérez-Llorca to strengthen its Corporate practice area. He specialises in corporate law, and particularly M&A, the creation and dissolution of joint ventures, corporate restructuring and business and commercial practice. Throughout his career, he has advised various types of national and foreign clients (including corporations, industry groups, listed companies, different types of funds and financial entities) on large-scale transactions in various sectors such as the energy, infrastructure, banking, real estate, consumer goods and telecommunications sectors. Dídac holds a degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Pompeu Fabra, and a master’s degree in Energy Law from the Club Español de la Energía (“The Spanish Energy Club”). He lectures on various master’s degree programmes, in addition to participating in pro bono activities.

These appointments follow Francisco Iso and Carlos Pérez Dávila joining the firm as partners, and Ana Cremades and Andy Ramos, joining as Counsels, as well as the promotions of Jordi Farrés, Javier Muñoz, Juan Palomino, Laura Pérez, Álvaro Ramírez de Haro and Elena Veleiro, who all made partner earlier this year.
