System of Rotations

During your first 15 months at the firm you will work with three different teams, spending five months with each of them. Throughout the selection process you will be asked for your preferences, although your choices allow for flexibility and can be changed once you start working at the Firm. We think this is a great system because it allows you to gain a more comprehensive understanding of both the law and the firm, and allows you to get to know various teams and practice areas. Each rotation period is a new challenge and it fosters the development of various skills necessary for the legal profession.

Ongoing Training Plan

Internal training. TESEO is an ambitious two-year training plan designed for Pérez-Llorca’s youngest lawyers. It is also open to any other lawyers from the firm who wish to participate. This programme, organised and funded by the firm, is designed with the primary goal of offering participants the necessary training to achieve their professional goals.

National and international external training. We encourage our lawyers to undergo continuous training, as this allows them to specialise in various topics, and fosters ongoing contact with the academic and professional world through courses, seminars and conferences organised by prestigious institutions.

We believe that a true professional not only builds on the skills and knowledge that they have but also continues learning and developing every day. We take this into consideration when creating a career for each lawyer. After several years of practicing as a lawyer, we recognise how important it is for you to stay up-to-date or study certain areas in more detail. Financial support. We offer to fully or partially fund postgraduate or Master’s degrees in the US when the interest and commitment is mutually recognised.

Business Intelligence Analyst Senior

We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst for the Madrid office

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will support with the strategy, projects and data analysis processes, as well as insight generation for decision making. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining BI solutions, ensuring data quality and reliability. In addition, they will promote continuous improvement, identify practical solutions and ensure alignment with security policies.

The firm is currently implementing and migrating to new Data Architecture, supporting it, improving its governance and business insights capabilities, increasing self-service, and providing tools to improve decision making. This role will be involved in this process from the outset.

Requirements

 

Minimum requirements:

  • Five years in a similar role.
  • Some of these certifications: Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
  • ITIL training, and practical experience in release, change and problem processes
  • Advanced project management and planning capabilities.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes, data integration and data warehousing concepts.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure for data storage and processing.
  • Substantial programming skills using languages/tools such as PySpark (Python) Spark (Scala) for data manipulation and scripting.
  • Solid understanding of relevant best practices in data governance, data quality and data security.

Functions

 

  • Supporting the strategy, definition and design of the BI environment at a technical level, taking part in optimisations and projects. The solutions designed should be simple, reliable and with the appropriate quality-cost-benefit ratio.
  • Designing and maintaining BI (and in particular visualisation) solutions, ensuring the implementation of standards in terms of access, layout, deployments, environment updates and monitoring.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation and procedures, so that they are accessible, available and reliable.
  • Promoting continuous improvement of BI services and components.
  • Carrying out and promoting R&D to incorporate new practical solutions that can accompany and are aligned with business needs.
  • Collaborating with the design of scalable architectures leveraging cloud services or other mechanisms.
  • Managing and contacting suppliers and key users within the BI sector.
  • In addition to liaising with key suppliers and users, they will manage the services associated with the BI architecture. This includes supervising and coordinating Application Management (AM) services for the evolution and correction of systems, as well as the implementation of cloud services.
  • Promoting self-service tools within the IT service portfolio in order to improve employee satisfaction and improve time-to-market.
  • Defining adoption and training programmes and coordinating change management.
  • Anticipating, understanding, managing and negotiating internal customer needs, expectations and issues.
  • Ensuring alignment and compliance with security policies and procedures, framed within ISO 27001.
  • Monitoring the service offered by the BI solutions deployed, using the necessary inputs: surveys, etc., ensuring that the commitments made are met.

SAP Analyst with FICO specialisation

We are looking for a Senior SAP FICO Analyst for our offices in Madrid.

The Senior SAP FICO Analyst will play a key role in the management, configuration and enhancement of the Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules within our S/4HANA (RISE) system. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of financial and accounting processes, as well as the ability to tailor SAP solutions to the specific needs of the organisation. The ideal candidate will be a functional consultant with experience in implementing, optimising and supporting SAP FICO solutions, with a focus on financial process automation and compliance.
They will also be the IT Business Partner’s day-to-day support for managing other financial applications and associated professional services.

 

Requirements

 

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Systems Engineering, Management or related fields.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in functional roles related to SAP FICO.
  • Proven experience in SAP FICO implementation and/or roll-outs and upgrade projects (such as SAP S/4HANA migrations).

Financing (FI):

Operational Support and Maintenance:

  • Managing the day-to-day running of the services associated with the SAP4/HANA AMS (corrective, upgrading and evolutionary) and other financial systems of the firm.
  • Where appropriate, resolving service requests and analysing system issues related to SAP FICO, and proposing effective solutions.

We are looking for an Internal and External Communications Executive for our Mexico office, reporting to the firm’s Head of Communications, who will have the following responsibilities:

 

 

Internal Communications

  • Developing the internal communications plan for the firm in Mexico.
  • Implementing internal communications measures in coordination with all departments involved.
  • Managing internal communications tools.

 

External Communication

  • Collaborating with the preparation and execution of the Corporate Communications plan for Mexico.
  • Handling relationships with national Mexican and international media outlets.
  • Developing external communications content and supporting the creation of content for social networks.
  • Managing press releases, interviews, opinion articles and other content with specific and general national, Mexican and international media.

 

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Journalism, Audiovisual Communication, Marketing or Public Relations.
  • Experience: at least eight years handling similar responsibilities in law firms, companies or communication agencies.
  • Knowledge of financial communications would be an asset.
  • High level of English (C1) and good command of Microsoft Office software.

Technical Support Officer

The Technical Support Officer is responsible for providing high quality technical support to VIP users and other employees, ensuring that their systems and applications are running efficiently. This role includes troubleshooting, installation and configuration of software and hardware, as well as training and ongoing technical support.

Requirements

  • Minimum demonstrable experience of three years in microcomputer technical support installing and configuring applications on PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers, scanners and videoconferencing equipment, preferably with experience in VIP user support.
  • At least three years of demonstrable experience in supporting user testing of different types of applications (web, major clients, apps, etc.)
  • Minimum demonstrable experience of three years in telephone customer service.
  • Technical expertise: Proficient in Windows operating systems, iOS and advanced network and hardware knowledge, and experience with ticket management tools.
  • Experience in O365 administration (one drive, SharePoint and Exchange), AAD, antivirus, etc.
  • Networks: Familiarity with networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and VPN.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Interpersonal skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, empathy, ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
  • Academic training: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or similar would be highly valued.
  • Good knowledge of English (B2)

TESEO Training Programme

A training program designed for lawyers of the future.

Our TESEO internal Training Programme has received several awards.

What are the objectives of TESEO?

TESEO provides our lawyers with solid legal training to further enhance their knowledge and analytical skills in the fundamentals of Company Law. TESEO also helps our lawyers better understand practice areas other than those in which they normally work, introduces them to recent legal developments (i.e. legislative, case law and doctrinal developments), and provides them with the expertise or soft skills necessary for the practice of law.

How long does the programme run for?

TESEO is an internal training programme that lasts for two academic years. It is composed of several modules, both legal and non-legal, all of which are compulsory for lawyers during their first two years of practising law. Some of these modules are open to the firm’s more senior professionals and partners.

What does it involve?

I. Orientation Module:

WELCOME COURSE

The welcome course offers you an insight into the firm’s culture, allowing you to adapt quickly and easily to the work environment. You will get to know the Pérez-Llorca’s different areas of work, the internal rules which govern the way we work and the practice of law and professional ethics.

FUNDAMENTAL QUESTIONS CONCERNING COMPANY LAW

This part of the training offers a practical focus on the fundamental questions relating to the various legal branches that make up Company Law and enhances knowledge acquired during your university studies.

II. Continuous Legal Training Module:

SEMINARS

This module includes seminars designed to expand your knowledge of certain legal matters. An expert lawyer will cover current legal issues.

LEGAL REFRESHER COURSE

This course will keep you up to date with the latest legislative, case law and other relevant legal news.

CASE STUDIES

In order to offer practical legal training of a multidisciplinary nature, case studies dealing with differing legal issues and focus points  are presented to the lawyers.

III. Non-Continuous Legal Training Module:

This course seeks to make the most of your talents and skills, both professionally and personally, by providing you with the tools necessary towork in the legal profession through specific courses on legal English, accounting and finance, and soft skills, among others.

Business Development Training

Business Development is a very important aspect of a lawyer’s work alongside the technical competencies that can be acquired through practice. For this reason, we have a specific Business Development training programme for senior lawyers that gives them the basic tools necessary to successfully conduct presentations and meetings, respond to our clients’ needs, and create new business opportunities.

Talent

International Training

Pérez-Llorca has four offices abroad, in London, New York, Brussels and Singapore, where our lawyers practise Spanish and Portuguese law. Our offices assist Pérez-Llorca’s clients with the development of their projects and serves as a gateway for our firm to collaborate closely with local firms.
