Bart Wauters, a lecturer at IE Law School, will lead the session alongside Encarna Cordero, Of Counsel at Pérez-Llorca and Professor of Civil Law.

Locke’s Property theory is still one of the most interesting theories around. It can be used as a basis for understanding today’s opposing positions on the subject, such as that of Robert Nozick, who views property as a moral right to the fruits of one’s own labour, and that of Liam Murphy and Thomas Nagel, who consider this view to be a myth given that, in their opinion, property is defined by the tax system: it is what is yours after paying taxes.

The session will be held on Thursday 1 December, from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm in Room D-301 at María de Molina, 7, Madrid.
