Javier joined Pérez-Llorca in 2018 and boasts ample experience in the public sector as a Tax inspector and a State Inspector and Auditor. He was also the Director of Tax and Tax Administration relations at Bankia.

Experience
He was the Tax Director at Bankia for over 20 years. Previously, he was the Assistant Director-General of Special Procedures at the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) and Head of the Financial and Tax Inspection team until 1997
Academic and Publishing Collaborations
Until 2000 Javier gave classes on Financial and Tax Law at Universidad Carlos III and until 2011 he was a lecturer at the School of Public Finance for their Advanced Specialisation Tax course and their International Taxation course. Currently, he is a professor of Finance and Tax Law at Universidad San Pablo CEU.
He has also given classes for the following Masters: Master’s degree in International Taxation at Deloitte and Universidad Pontificia Comillas, the Master’s degree in Financial Markets at Universidad San Pablo CEU, and the Master’s degree for Access to the Legal Profession at Universidad Carlos III.
Recent articles
Javier is a co-author of the Tax Handbook and the Tax Procedures Handbook published by Ed. Francis Lefebvre and other specialised publications. He was also a coordinator for the “Manual de fiscalidad de productos financieros” and writes various articles for specialist publications.
