Profile

Jordi joined Pérez-Llorca in 2006 after having worked at a prestigious national law firm and completing a full-time Master’s degree in International Business Law at ESADE. He was made Partner in January 2019.

He speaks Catalan, Spanish and English.

Experience

Jordi advises national and international clients on: M&A transactions (carve-outs, mergers, restructurings, acquisitions, etc.), joint ventures and strategic agreements, corporate governance, projects financings, corporate law and commercial contract law, servicing agreements (NPLs portfolios, etc.) and corporate-real estate matters. In addition, Jordi has been very active and has assisted clients (industrial groups and PE and VC funds) in some of the most relevant matters in the Spanish market regarding infrastructures (telecoms, etc.), technology (big data, e-commerce, technological platforms, etc), financial institutions, healthcare, tourism and distribution.

Academic and Publishing Collaborations

Jordi lectures for the degrees in Law at ESADE and Universitat Ramón Llull in Barcelona and for the Master’s degree for Access to the Legal Profession at Universtat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. He has also taught commercial practice as part of the Access to the Legal Profession course at the Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía in Barcelona.

In addition, Jordi regularly collaborates in the writing of articles for the economic press and for specialist magazines. He recently wrote the article “M&A y deber de lealtad de los administradores de la sociedad target” (M&A and target company directors’ duty of loyalty) published in Pérez-Llorca’s Legal Journal.
